The feeder holds up to 5.7L of dry food or treats for dogs and cats. Thanks to the digital timer, you can "serve" a meal at selected times of day and night. The electronic programmable timer allows you to schedule up to 12 meals per day, while also setting the portion size in the range of 30-948ml, and the selected settings are shown on a clear LCD display. Once you enter your preferences, food will be automatically dispensed into the bowl at the same time every day. This means you can program meals for an entire week. There is also the option to use the default feeding schedules built into the device: "dog" mode serves 473ml twice a day, while "cat" mode dispenses 59ml twice a day. Additional programs allow you to pause food dispensing until further notice, immediately dispense a meal, and use slow feeding - this function is especially useful if your pet tends to eat too quickly.

The PetSafe Healthy Pet Simply Feed automatic dry food dispenser stays firmly in place on the floor, and the design of the device prevents curious paws from getting inside. The materials used to make the dispenser do not alter the taste or smell of the food. The perfectly smooth housing finish ensures easy cleaning with a damp, soft cloth, while the internal food bowl can be removed and washed in the dishwasher. The feeder comes with a spacious bowl with a holder that keeps it securely in place. The dispenser is powered by D LR20 alkaline batteries.
