Fypryst Fipronil 67 mg - Flea and Tick Spot-On Drops for Dogs Weighing 2 to 10 kg

Fypryst 67mg is a spot-on solution for the treatment and prevention of flea and tick infestations in dogs weighing from 2 to 10kg. The product contains the active substance - fipronil, which has insecticidal and acaricidal properties, destroying parasites by blocking the transfer of chloride ions through cell membranes, leading to uncontrolled activity of the central nervous system and death of insects or mites. Fipronil accumulates in the lipid layer of the skin and hair follicles, from where it is gradually released onto the surface of the skin and coat, ensuring a long-lasting effect. The package contains one pipette with 0.67ml of the product. 

Fypryst can be used as part of a preventive treatment against insects or as one of the steps in the treatment of flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) in dogs. The product's ingredients are effective against Ixodes spp. ticks, particularly Ixodes ricinus, which can transmit Lyme disease, a serious threat to pets. The product controls infestations of biting lice of the species Trichodectes canis. It is intended for external topical use by spot-on application. It provides effective protection against fleas for up to 2 months and against ticks for up to 4 weeks (depending on the level of environmental pressure).

Contraindications:

• do not use on puppies under 8 weeks of age or weighing less than 2kg.
• do not use on sick animals (suffering from systemic diseases, fever) or animals in recovery.
• do not use on rabbits due to the risk of adverse reactions, including death.
• this product is intended for use in dogs. It should not be used on cats due to the risk of overdose.

Administration and dosage:
Read the package leaflet carefully before use. Remove the single-dose pipette from the packaging. Holding the pipette upright, unscrew and remove the cap. Reverse the cap and place the other end onto the pipette. Press and twist the cap to puncture the seal, then remove it from the pipette. Part the animal's coat on the back between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and squeeze several times to apply the entire contents directly onto the skin. Do not bathe the dog for 2 days after application and no more than once a week thereafter.

Recommendation:
Monthly application of the product is recommended in cases of high risk of recurring flea infestations, if the dog is allergic to flea bites, when tick control is necessary, or when the dog is frequently bathed with hypoallergenic or conditioning shampoos. In areas where there is no significant risk of flea and tick infestations, Fypryst spot-on solution may be applied every two to three months.
