Fypryst Fipronil 134mg - Flea and Tick Spot-On Drops for Dogs Weighing 10 to 20 kg

Fypryst 134mg is a spot-on solution for the treatment and prevention of flea and tick infestations in dogs weighing between 10 and 20 kg. The product contains the active substance fipronil, which has insecticidal and acaricidal properties, eliminating parasites by blocking chloride ion transfer across cell membranes, leading to uncontrolled central nervous system activity and death of insects or mites. Fipronil accumulates in the lipid layer of the skin and hair follicles, from where it is gradually released onto the surface of the skin and coat, ensuring long-lasting efficacy. The package contains one pipette with 1.37 ml of the product. 

Fypryst can be used as part of a preventive strategy against insects or as one of the steps in the treatment of flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) in dogs. The product's ingredients are effective against Ixodes spp. ticks, particularly Ixodes ricinus, which can transmit Lyme disease, a serious threat to pets. The product also controls infestations of biting lice Trichodectes canis. It is intended for external topical use by spot-on application. It provides effective protection against fleas for up to 2 months and against ticks for up to 4 weeks (depending on the level of environmental challenge).

Contraindications:

• Do not use on puppies under 8 weeks of age or weighing less than 2 kg.
• Do not use on sick animals (suffering from systemic diseases, fever) or animals in recovery.
• Do not use on rabbits due to the risk of adverse reactions, including death.
• This product is intended for use in dogs. Do not use on cats due to the risk of overdose.

Administration and dosage:
Read the package leaflet carefully before use. Remove the single-dose pipette from the packaging. Holding the pipette upright, unscrew and remove the cap. Reverse the cap and place the other end onto the pipette. Press down and twist the cap to puncture the seal, then remove it from the pipette. Part the dog's fur on the back between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette against the skin and squeeze several times to apply the entire contents directly onto the skin. Do not bathe the dog for 2 days after application and no more than once a week.

Recommendation:
Monthly application is recommended in cases of high risk of recurring flea infestations, if the dog is allergic to flea bites, when tick control is necessary, or when the dog is frequently bathed with hypoallergenic or conditioning shampoos. In areas where there is no significant risk of flea and tick infestations, Fypryst spot-on solution may be applied every two to three months.
