MAXI/GUARD® Oral Cleansing Gel is a comprehensive, powerful formula recommended for oral hygiene in animals. Its unique formulation containing zinc ascorbate makes it effective in:

• reducing the risk of gum inflammation

The product is recommended by veterinarians for both the prevention and treatment of varying degrees of periodontal disease, as well as a wide range of oral surgery procedures - pre-operative, peri-operative, and post-operative care.

Directions for use:

• Before first use: pour the ascorbic acid from the vial into the gel bottle. Wait until all the powder settles to the bottom, then shake until the powder is completely dissolved.
• Cats / small dogs: apply a pea-sized drop of the product onto your ring finger or a cotton swab used for ear cleaning, and gently massage it into the gums on both sides of the mouth, near the molars.
• Medium and large breed dogs: the product can be applied directly onto the mucous membrane using the built-in applicator.

Use of Vetfood MAXI/GUARD® in dogs and cats with dental conditions:
Before planned dental procedures to reduce inflammation, which helps minimize bleeding, the risk of bacteremia, and post-operative inflammatory reactions during and after the procedure. Application: twice daily for 7-10 days before the procedure, or more frequently if the inflammation is severe. After oral procedures, the gel acts as a soothing agent that alleviates inflammation and pain, reduces discomfort resulting from treatment, and accelerates the healing of wounds and tissue damage. This applies to all types of surgery, from the simplest preventive procedures through minor and major surgical interventions (extractions), oncological procedures, and reconstructive surgery following trauma. Post-operative application: 2-4 times daily for a minimum of 10-14 days after the procedure, after which the frequency may be reduced.

Use of Vetfood MAXI/GUARD® in dogs and cats for daily oral hygiene:
Preventive application of the product 1-2 times daily as a medium for tooth brushing. For damage and wounds to the oral mucosa and tongue, as well as mucosal burns, the product should be applied every 2-3 hours until the damage has healed. To soothe localized inflammatory reactions and reduce the rate of plaque accumulation during orthodontic, prosthetic, or orthopedic treatment, the product should be applied 3 times daily.
