• L-tryptophan - an amino acid that reduces nervous tension in animals; it is essential for the synthesis of melatonin (the hormone responsible for the sleep-wake cycle) and serotonin (one of the most important neurotransmitters regulating sleep and well-being). Supplementing an animal's diet with L-tryptophan has a positive effect on its behavior and alleviates symptoms associated with various anxiety reactions, including aggressive behavior
