How to teach your dog to use the mat?
Place your favorite LickiMat (Classic, Tuff, or Slomo) into the frame, add your dog's favorite treat on top, and attach it to the Puppy Station mat. Encourage your dog to enjoy the meal. If your dog tries to chew the mat instead of licking it, redirect their attention with a favorite toy. Remove the mat. Call your dog back after a few minutes and repeat the entire process for as long as the dog keeps trying to chew or destroy the mat, or refuses to sit on it. Once your dog is accustomed to the mat, you can detach the LickiMat frame and use it simply as a resting spot. Alternatively, you can always use it as a designated feeding area for your pet.
