The Kurgo Baxter Backpack dog saddlebags have been tailored so as not to restrict your dog's movement. They are designed to distribute the carried weight evenly. They feature a special panel that supports and relieves pressure on the dog's spine. It is lined with soft, breathable air-mesh fabric for proper ventilation, moisture wicking, and minimizing the risk of chafing, especially during long hikes with gear. As many as nine adjustment points allow for a precise fit to your dog's body shape: four are located on the back, enabling you to position the saddlebags evenly on both sides of the dog's body. Two adjustment points are located around the neck area. The remaining three are on the lower section - these let you adjust the chest girth and sternum strap length.  

The two saddlebags with a combined capacity of 7.5L can hold plenty of essential items, such as water, food, or a first aid kit. In addition to the main compartment, each bag features a small pocket for smaller items. This allows you to organize your gear and access it easily. Reflective elements improve visibility in poor weather conditions. Two metal D-rings allow you to attach a leash to the front or back of the harness. A handle on the back allows you to securely hold your dog close when the situation requires it, for example during training. Additionally, the front D-ring also functions as a bottle opener. Remember to distribute the contents of the saddlebags evenly. Each dog's carrying capacity is highly individual and depends on its size, body build, and physical fitness. The load in the saddlebags should not exceed 20% of the dog's body weight. If you are just starting out with saddlebags, it is a good idea to get your dog used to wearing them - begin your first walks with empty saddlebags, gradually increasing the load.
