Detangling the coat does not have to be an unpleasant chore. Rotating-pin combs are designed to make brushing effective yet painless. Each tooth (pin) rotates around its own axis, allowing it to glide smoothly through the coat without pulling or tearing the hair. This solution is especially recommended for dogs and cats with long coats, coats prone to matting, or sensitive skin.
A similar function is provided by rakes with rotating pins.
Traditional combs can catch on dense areas of the coat, causing discomfort for the animal. In models with rotating pins, friction is reduced - the pins gently separate the strands, remove dead hair, and smooth the coat structure. The result is thorough brushing without stress: the animal is more willing to cooperate, and the coat looks healthier and shinier.
